Wilderness Wellness – The Righteous Family Land in Stockbridge
What are we doing on 33 acres of wilderness and wetlands in Reeves Parkway?
Cleanup and conservation, while exploring our dreams and imagination!
Since our purchase of this land in 2022, we have been restoring a vital watershed area in the city of Stockbridge, while teaching youth and their families about wildlife conservation and wetlands restoration.
The streams flowing through this land eventually feed a county water reservoir and become part of the local water supply.
We bring groups out to our land to engage in days of restoration and renewal, revitalizing this ecosystem while engaging in outdoor experiences that increase mental and physical wellness.

How to Support our Work
We do stream cleanups, native plantings (as well as removals of invasive plants) and wildlife conservation activities. We also teach outdoor fitness, yoga and meditation workshops! Sometimes we invite celebrity guests to learn about watershed restoration and wetlands conservation. These events can draw a significant crowd, all of whom learn about how to improve greenspaces and our own lives.
This land is owned and operated by Righteous Family, a not-for-profit community collective centered around sustainable living and thinking. We work with community centers and nonprofit programs to engage young people and elders who can benefit from outdoor learning experiences.
Our work is about cleaning up the water supply while also empowering both young people and seniors to live longer, better, and fuller lives.

Your “Go To” Guide for the Best of Our City!
Stockbridge is a vibrant retreat from the city life of metro Atlanta with all the amenities of cities north of 285, yet without the ridiculous traffic and high costs of living!
Reaching Stockbridge from Atlanta is easy, as the city begins where I-75 South and 675 meet, only thirty minutes south of Atlanta, or twenty minutes south of Forest Park. The city also serves as a gateway to cities further south along I-75, with Macon under an hour away.
The city government’s commitment to equality can be seen in the rejection of proposals made by wealthier, less-inclusive communities to secede from the city, followed by the annexation of unincorporated areas that were historically kept segregated through housing costs.
The City of Stockbridge has the opportunity to capitalize on the city’s positioning and to promote it as the gateway into Henry County. As the Metro-Atlanta region continues to grow, and individuals are looking for areas to locate, the City’s easy access to the interstate system and overall affordability attracts new residents as an appealing place to live.
